Edna passed away at her home under care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. After she graduated from Charlo High School, she moved to Spokane, WA, and worked at a hospital for a year. She then moved to Idaho Falls, where she worked various clerical jobs. She met Kay thru a friend from work. They married on August 23, 1951 in Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Their first three children were born on the farm in Ucon, and their last two children were born on the farm in Osgood. The family moved to Shelley in 1982 to run the auto parts store. Edna was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved serving family and friends. She also loved nature and was an avid gardener. She shared bounties of her hard work with all who were in need. She was an excellent cook, and many were recipients of her talents. Talents beside cooking included sewing and especially quilting. She made many quilts for family, friends and the Humanitarian Center. An active member of the LDS Church, she loved the Lord and served faithfully in the Primary, Mutual and many years in the Relief Society organization. Survivors included: children Lynette Birch, Joseph R Birch (Cathy) and Jeanette Johnson (Robert); two siblings; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceding her sons Myron and Neil; two granddaughters and five siblings. Funeral services held November 7 at Shelley Third Ward Chapel, 513 S. Park Avenue.
