Married Demetra Siarris in September 1913 in Bingham Canyon, Utah. Their children: Harry John, George John, Nick John, Mary, Ellen, Chris John, Michael John and Alexandra Condas.

John G. Condas, 82, 637 E. 9th South, former president of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Salt Lake City and prominent rancher and stockman, died Sunday night at a Slt Lake hospital.

Under his presidency of the Greek Church in 1923, Holy Trinity at 279 S. 2nd West was built. He later served two terms as the president of the Board of Trustees and several terms as a member of the board.

Engaged in the livestock business until retirement in 1956, he was also an active member of the Utah Woolgrowers Ass. He was a member of Ahepa, Greek American Progressive Assn. and Athaasios Diakos Society.

Born in Strome, Lamia, Greece, on Nov. 27, 1886, he was a son of George J. and Helen Charchalis Condas. He came to the United States in 1904. He worked in New York, West Virginia and Nevada before coming to Utah in 1910. He married Demetra Siarris in September 1913 in Bingham Canyon. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1918.

His survivors include his widow; six sons and daughters, George J., Chris J., Mrs. C. Ray (Mary) Lehmer and Mrs. Pando (Ellen) Bayas all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Reed (ALexandra) Ockey of Spokane, Wash,; and Nick J. with the U.S. State Dept.; and seven grandchildren.
