Cindy Ramsey Swanson, 90, of Chatham, died October 30, 2015. Born November 29, 1924, in the Henry community of Franklin County to the late Joseph Leonard Ramsey and the late Bessie Eva Young Ramsey.
A member of Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church since 1977, she served many years as a church elder and has been named as an elder emeritus by the church. Cindy was also a founding member of Oak Level Baptist Church in Henry County.
She was predeceased by her husband Eugene Addison Swanson; brothers and sisters, Selma Thornton, Ernest Ramsey, Carl Eugene Ramsey, Claude Ramsey, and Joe Ramsey. Surviving are sisters, Mary Frith and Betty Martin; brothers, George Vernon Ramsey and John Kenneth Ramsey; three sons, Robert Wayne Swanson(Carol), Charles Addison Swanson(Gail) and Roy Francis Swanson(Sylvia); seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Swanson Family Cemetery (Sago Road) in Callands.
