Mrs. Sandra Rowe, age 61, of Rowe, Virginia passed away Friday (October 30, 2015) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born October 26, 1954 in Rowe, Virginia, she was a daughter of Harold and Freddie Keene Creed of Rowe, Virginia. A lifelong resident of the area, she attended Garden High School and had obtained her LPN license through SVCC. She was formerly employed as a home health nurse. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Sullivan Branch Pentecostal Church in Bee, Virginia and Grace Tabernacle in Bristol, Virginia. She truly loved the Lord and she enjoyed sharing her faith and encouraging others through her Card Ministry. The message was always clear, “SMILE, God Loves You” was written on the back of the envelope of each card she sent, and she always had a beautiful smile on her face no matter what she was going through. Her family was always her priority and she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all she met.
She was preceded in death by one son, Chad Rowe and one sister, Carol Caudill.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Johnny Rowe of Rowe, Virginia; two daughters, Renee Rowe Justus and husband, Sam of Wise, Virginia and Debra Rowe of Bristol, Virginia; two granddaughters, Emilee Justus and Abby Justus both of Wise, Virginia; one sister, Billie Jean Sammons and husband, William of Bristol, Virginia; one brother, Harold Creed, Jr. and wife, Diane of Bristol, Virginia; mother-in-law, Opal Rowe of Rowe, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Tiller, Rev. Mike Switzer and Rev. David Horton officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Chester Rowe, William Sammons, Larry Null, Roger Caudill, Johnny Keene and Sam Justus.
Honorary pallbearers will be Herb Jamison, Willard Keene, Sr., Lester Tiller, Fred Rowe and David Lee Horton.
The family will receive friends after 6 PM Sunday at the Honaker Funeral Home where an evening service will be conducted at 7 PM with Rev. David Horton officiating.
