Melba S. Anderson, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the Highlands of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, December 28, 1924 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Allen Smith and the late Cynthia Quinn Tilghman Smith.
She was a retired employee of Morris Manufacturing and Paul's Cleaners.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Tilly officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will beWednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by one son, Rusty Anderson and his wife, Toni of Collierville, Tennessee; one, daughter, Jan Glendowne and her husband Richard of Newbern, Tennessee; one, sister, Peggy S. Parnell and her husband, Gene of Newbern, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Dick" Anderson, two brothers, Lincoln Smith and Fred Smith and two sisters, Aileene Wilson and Jodie Hill.
Pallbearers will be Brent Anderson, Randall Anderson, Kurt Anderson, Jason Glendowne, Jared Glendowne and Chris Barksdale.
