GREENSBORO - Loretta Jean "Ma" Cummings, 75, went home to be with her Lord and loved ones on Friday, September 21, 2007.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
A native of Lee county, she was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Marvin C. Cummings and her beloved son, Marvin E. Cummings. Loretta was a devoted wife, mother," me maw", great "me maw" and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved animals, especially her cats. She had a fun-loving spirit and a delightful sense of humor.
Left to cherish her memory and love for her are daughters, Patricia Bray and husband, Dan, Gloria Perdue and husband, Kelly of Greensboro, N.C.; and son, Michael E. Cummings of the home; grandson, Ricky "Buster" Heath Jr. and wife, Shannan; and two great grandchildren, Kobie and Kameron; and a special friend, Andy Harris, whom she loved as her son. She also leaves three sisters, Lena Hall, Becky Hardy and Ruth Berryman; and two brothers, Prentice Hall and Earl Hall; along with many nieces and nephews and friends.
