Hayden Arthur Powers died August 30, 1995 of lung cancer.
He was born November 16, 1918, in Kewanee, Illinois to Earl H. and Bertha Dean Powers. The family moved to Salt Lake City when he was a child. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He spent most of his adult life in the printing business, but was also a skilled wordworking artist.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irita (Rita); daughter, Penni Fitzgerald, sons, Terrence and Randall, and stepson, Larry Simmons; sisters, Marjorie Green and Eileen Juenger; and several grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Saturday, September 2, 1995 at 12 noon.
