He was also predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Edward Gordon, three sisters, Elizabeth (LeShana-Gray), Theresa (Cote), and Mary (Hatch-Muise) and three brothers-in-law Joseph Corso, Norman Richards and Roland Duchesne.

After emigrating from Newfoundland in 1925, Mr. Stafford grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School (1939). Mike was an inspector with General Electric in Lynn for 42 years before he retired in 1983; he was very proud of his contributions to the Gemini space program. Mike also worked part time building rotors for 16 years with (Charles) Campbell’s of Lynnfield.
Mr. Stafford resided in Salem and was a communicant of St. James Church for over 50 years before returning to Lynn. Mike was an active parishioner, usher, beano and church fair volunteer for St. James Church. Since moving to Lynn, he had become a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
Survived by his second wife; his two sons, Michael F. Stafford, Jr. and his wife Loretta of Middleton, Richard W. Stafford and his wife Perla Peguero of Salem and a daughter, Kathleen M. Donato and her husband Samuel of Clermont, FL.
He is survived also by his grandsons Nathaniel of Ellington, CT and Ryan of Burlington, VT, granddaughter Rebekah and her fiancé Michael Thomas of Newburyport, 1 great- grandson, and many nephews and nieces.
Further survived by his sisters-in-law Mildred Corso of Lynn, Jeanne Richards of West Roxbury, Norma Duchesne of Peabody and stepson Thomas Condon and his companion Vanessa Foley of Medford and stepgrandsons, Todd and Matthew Condon.
