Surviving family include his wife, Evelyn Morse; son, Michael "Mikie" Morse II; daughters, Carolyn and Bobby Morse; grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Elexys, Jaxon, Maddie, Logan, Skylar; sister, Carolyn Munro; brother, Doug Morse; and step-father, Kenny Austin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Morse; mother, Verna Austin; brother, Daniel F. Morse; and son, Michael L. Morse, Jr.

A funeral service will be 10:00 am on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior.
