Gerald Meyer was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Waite Park to Joseph and Ida (Platz) Meyer. He married Mary Lou Moore Sept. 13, 1958, in St. Augustine Catholic Church and had been a resident of Waite Park most of his life. He was a carpenter, employed by Buettner Construction Co. of St. Cloud for 19 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waite Park.
Survivors include his wife; daughters and sons, Mrs. Thomas (Betty) Kirchner, Waite Park; Joseph, St. Paul; Donald and James, St. Cloud; Mary Kay and Gerald "Gus" Jr., at home; sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Marcella) Bretz and Audrey Kloss, St. Cloud; Mrs. Harold (Delores) Vogt, Waite Park; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph and Claude; and sister, Juletta Rau.
