She was born July 20, 1914, in Charleston, the daughter of James and Hazel Blevins Richards. She married William Earl Garrett in 1940. He died Jan. 25, 2000. She was a member of Smyser Christian Church.
Surviving were one son, Bill Garrett; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, one grandson and one great-grandson. Burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
