Ginger Jeanine Cooper Mitchell 48 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. Born October 18, 1966 in Lenoir, NC she was the daughter of Wanda Childress Cooper of Grundy, VA and the late Bobby Edward Cooper.
Ginger was a graduate of SWVCC, certified nursing assistance and operating room technician, having last worked for Buchanan General Hospital. She dedicated her life, caring for others and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother, Wanda Childress Cooper she is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Adam) Lester of Vansant, VA; son, Richard Rife and fiancé, Brittney Ramey of Grundy, VA; sister, Deidre Trammell Stiltner of Grundy, VA.
Also survived by her niece, Bobbie Ann (Garon) Marcum of Grundy, VA, nephew, James Foster of Grundy, VA and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ginger Jeanine Cooper Mitchell will be conducted Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, VA with Elder Danny Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery on Stateline Ridge #1, Paynesville, WV.
