Jeffrey Gale Norris, age 51, of New Port Richey, Florida, formerly from Cumberland County, passed away on June 15, 2015, at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in New Port Richey, Florida. He was born August 27, 1963 in Albany, Kentucky the son of Eudene Merrill and Gay Whittenburg Norris. He lived his childhood and most of his adult life in Cumberland County, graduated Cumberland County High School. He attended the Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church while growing up and later Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he taught the Teenage Class on Sunday. Later in years he moved to Florida to help care for his brother, Gary Merrill Norris. He was a factory worker and truck driver before moving to Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Eudene Merrill Norris, brother, Gary Merrill Norris, grand-parents, Charlie and Lula Carter Norris and Rowen and Nola Harmon Whittenburg and his aunt Fay Whittenburg. His mother, Gay Whittenburg Norris was surviving at the time of his death, but has since passed away on September 21, 2015, Still surviving are his sons, Ryan Norris and Joey Norris, daughters, Jamie Williams and Leah Norris, and grandchild, Jathan Norris, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Joint memorial service will held Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church with Bro. Gary Cash officiating with music by Jeremy and Jade Wright. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky is honored to be in charge of arrangements.
