Michelle Lynn Gardner-Nelson, age 46, of Edwards, passed away on October 12, 2015 at home with her family. Michelle was born in North Kansas City hospital on January 13th, 1969 in Kansas City, MO. She is the daughter and only child of Roy and Maggie (Spry) Gardner.

Michelle grew up in Parkville area where she attended and graduated from Park Hill high school in 1987. She travelled the world as a child yet her heart always remained in Missouri. Many of her weekends and summers were spent at her parents' lake house in Pomme de Terre, swimming and boating. Michelle also deeply treasured her grandparents and could often be found with all her cousins having Sunday dinner in Hastain at the Spry farm or in Climax Springs on the Gardner farm.

On April 27th, 1991, she was united in marriage to Danny Ray Nelson. To this union two sons were born, Cody Wayne and Kyle Daniel. Michelle was a beautician by trade but worked at American Airlines and Citibank during her married life.

She was preceded in death by grandparent's Ben & Hazel Spry and John & Ethel Gardner. She is survived by her husband, Danny, sons, Cody & Kyle, and parents, Roy & Maggie (Spry) Gardner. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Michelle was a loving and devoted wife and a protective and nurturing mother. She cherished time with her sons and husband and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Words cannot adequately describe the life Michelle brought to those around her and how dearly she will be missed daily. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in all our hearts. We take comfort in knowing Michelle had accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and is now united in Heaven with our Father and those that have gone before her. We thank the many who has prayed with her over the last 6 months.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Edwards Community Center, in Edwards, Missouri. The Warsaw Flower Shop will deliver flowers for Michelle to the Edwards Community Center on Friday.
