Vickie Whisenant Morgan, 62, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at St. Vincent's Riverside in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2015, 11:00 am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Glenn Carson, Ph.D., officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Paul Redding, David Mitchell, Kenny Garner, Nathan Barnett, Jesse Haynes, and Jack Whisenant serving as active pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening at Chapman Funeral Chapel.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Carl Morgan, a brother, Frank Whisenant (Courtney), a sister, Earline Torrillo (Patrick), 2 sisters-in-law, Penny Garner (Kenny), Rhonda Altman (Gary), a brother-in-law, Jeff Morgan (Tammy), her mother-in-law, Jill Morgan Corbett, a special aunt, Frankie Walker, all of Brunswick, many nieces and nephews including Kim Goode-Mitchell (Dave), Jordyn Whisenant, Charley Whisenant, Jodi Denley (Stephen), Jesse Haynes (Sara), Joette Turner (Sam), Luke Wood (Kelly), Leslie Finn (Sean), and several great nieces and nephews. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, C.T. & Lil Whisenant.
Vickie was born Feb. 7, 1953, and had been a resident of Brunswick most of her life, and was a 1971 graduate of Glynn Academy. She was a member of Glyndale Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
