Estella M Stuart had son Kenneth E [Benjamin] on 8 Feb 1925, 4 months before her marriage to Darwin Ostrander. It is unknown if Darwin was the biological father, but it doesn’t appear so according to his obituary. Kenneth was adopted/raised by William & Ada Benjamin. A possibility is that William was his father, and Kenneth was a product of an affair, but I don’t believe so. The Benjamin’s had 3 known daughters, and I believe the unwed Stella gave the Benjamin’s an opportunity to raise a son as their own. Kenneth was aware of his roots, as multiple obituaries have acknowledged that fact (Stella’s, his, siblings).
