Mrs. Josephine H. Doyle, 86, Holton, died Friday, March 6 at a Newport News, Virginia hospital. She was visiting a son at Hampton, Virginia.
She was born October 21, 1894, at Edwardsville,, the daughter of Theodore and Anna B. Terterling Hurla. She moved to Soldier in 1902 and to Holton in 1913.
Mrs. Doyle was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic church, Holton.
She was married to Edward J. Doyle, jr. on February 18, 1913, at Holton. He died in 1951.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Bucco, Warrenton, Virginia, Mrs. Kathryn Spann, St. Helena, California, and Mrs. R. Mitchell Spann, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, three sons, Joe L. Doyle, Holton, and James T. Doyle, Topeka and John Doyle, Hampton, Virginia, two sisters, Mrs. Cora Hiner and Mrs. Frances Kennedy, Grand Junction, Colorado; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Dominic's Catholic church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Holton. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home.
