She married Harry W. Cross in the Salt Lake Temple. He died September 1980.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, where she served as a docent at the museum for years.
During her lifetime, she was employed for many years at ZCMI Wholesale Distributors and the law firm of Ray, Quinney, and Nebeker.
An avid gardener and reader, Grace also enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, college football, and spending time with her family.
Survived by daughter, Carol Cross, Salt Lake City; daughter-in-law, Luz Maria Cross, Suwanee, Georgia; three granddaughters, Michelle (Michael) Munch, Suwanee; Melissa (Matthew) Sherwood, Lawrence, Kansas; and Jennifer Cross (Adam Lengle), Atlanta, Georgia; and five great-grandchildren, Sophia and Emma Munch and Liam, Evan, and Anna Grace Sherwood. Preceded in death by son, Richard H. Cross; sister, Beatrice (Gordon) Heinhold; and five brothers, Richard (Zelda), Kenneth (Phyllis), Rulon (Emma), Clifton (Opal), and John.
The family would like to thank Lesieli Tuiaki and her family for their tender care, as well as the staff at Millcreek Home Health and Hospice.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Imperial First Ward Chapel, 2738 South Filmore Street, with a viewing held one hour prior. A viewing will also be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1450 East).
