Mr. Curtis Ray Price, 78, of Stigler passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at his home. He was born August 16, 1937 in Poteau to Levine and Ethel (Gabbard) Price. He attended school in Greenwood, Arkansas and Stigler where he graduated with the class of 1955. He moved to California and worked for the United States Postal service for a few years before returning to Muskogee. He began a career with the United States Department of Agriculture as an inspector for some 43 years until his retirement. He lived in Muskogee, Fort Smith, and Enid during his career. He returned to Stigler in 2010 and enjoyed retirement while fishing, going to garage sales, and going to First Christian Church. He enjoyed tinkering with vehicles and in the shop. He enjoyed spending time at the Nutrition Center to eat and visit with friends. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Levine and Ethel Price; one sister, Margaret Pearce; two brothers, Charlie Price and William Price. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2015 in the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Joy Naylor officiating. The Eulogist will be Glenn Speer. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
