Sarah Elizabeth (Hendrick) Morrison, age 103, of Mangum, passed away Friday November 8, 2013 at Grace Living Center in Mangum.
Sarah was born on September 12, 1910 west of Reed, Oklahoma to John Edwin & Martha Ann (Roberts) Hendrick. She had eight brothers. Most people knew her as Aunt Taro or Granny. Sarah and Henry Morrison were married on June 23, 1947 at Hereford, Texas. They farmed in Montague County, Texas until Henry’s death in 1960. Sarah had 3 step sons: Thomas, Henry, & Paul Morrison. Sarah was a home health nurse to many. She loved to garden, quilt, dance, cook, & sing her gospel songs. She kept her faith till the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry, her eight brothers, 2 step sons, nieces and nephews. Sarah is survived by so many people that knew and loved her. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth Morrison will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Greer Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home.
