Mary was the daughter of John Miller & Harriet Virgina (Burris) Miller. She married Noah Cornelius 'Neal' Cohoon on the 27th Augest 1898. They later divorced. ~

HOLD LAST RITES THURSDAY FOR MRS. CAHOON, 66 -- Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Cahoon, 66, died at 5 p.m. Sept. 4 in the home of daughter, Mrs Walter Weaver, south of town on route 51. Death was caused by heart disease.
She was born Dec. 9 1878 and was a lifelong resident of Fayette county.
In addition to Mrs. Weaver, she leaves another daughter, Mrs Chester Elder, this city; a son Alec E. Vandalia; brothers, Joe Miller, Vandalia and John Miller, Herrick; a sister, Mrs Fred Eller, Urbana, and other relatives.
Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Vandalia Pentecostal church by the pastor, the Rev. J.H. Reeter. Burial was made in Fairlawn cemetery. Hunter funeral service in charge.
