Charles Russell Hamilton went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the age of 87. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Private family interment will take place on Monday. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Parkinson's research at www.michaeljfox.org. Charles was a World War II veteran, a loyal employee of General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, for 45 years, a Mason, and a vital member of his community. He volunteered at Birdville Baptist Church, as the Watauga volunteer fire chief, city board member, and a dedicated school crossing guard. Most importantly, Charles loved his Savior and his family. Survivors: Charles is survived by his beautiful wife of 56 years, Betty. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Donna Fletcher and husband, Curtis; daughter, Sharon Hamilton; grandchildren, Russell Fletcher and wife, Jill Fletcher Moore and husband, Christopher Hamilton and wife; four great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.
