James Harold Bagwell, 76, of 145 Fruit Mountain Road, husband of the late Faye Barnes Bagwell, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Donald and Grace Youngblood Bagwell, Mr. Bagwell retired as owner of Asphalt Paving Company of Easley, after forty-one years of service, where he provided an honest service for an honest wage and was respected by all. Mr. Bagwell was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having proudly served his country in the US Army.
Surviving are his son, Tim Bagwell of Easley who selflessly cared for him throughout his illness; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Garrick and Rose Collins of Easley; and a niece, Shannon Garrick of Easley. He also leaves behind his constant companion, his pet dashshund, Regis.
Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. James Ellenburg officiating.
Visitation will be at the graveside immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
The family is at the residence.
