Terry E. Peters, 69, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday October 26, 2015 at his home.

Terry was born on April 10, 1946, in Anamosa, the son of Gale and Charlene Sheldon Peters.

He married Becky on June 10, 1978 in Ely.

Terry graduated from Oxford Junction High School in 1964. He was drafted into the Army in 1965. Terry served as an MP in Camp Zama, Japan and was honorably discharged in September 1967. He was a member of the American Legion Pekomy Post #572.

Terry loved his jobs, driving truck for Vigortone and GSTC.

Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, bird-watching, showing horses, watching TV, especially the Chicago Cubs and dancing. More than anything though, he adored his children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them and his many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Jenny Seylar.
