Lee Charles WASHBURN was the son of Robert A WASHBURN and Myrtle Bell GEIGER. Lee married 17 Oct 1923 Margaret Mary MCDONALD, daughter of James John MCDONALD and Margaret FOULKS. They had three children: Lee Robert, Jean Marie, and Leo James.

Lee Charles was the twin of Leo H WASHBURN.

Lee worked as a machinist for the railroad in Battle Creek.
On Apr 4, 1942 he was taking an engine into the roundhouse for repairs and was on the outside of the engine. The engineer didn't realize that the roundhouse doors were closed and smashed into it. Lee died two days later as a result of his injuries.
