Clarence Raines
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at First United Methodist Church in Eugene for Clarence A. Raines of Eugene. He died June 26 of age-related causes at age 86.
He was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Eugene. He and his wife, Julia, were married Oct. 6, 1950, in Eugene.
Raines attended the University of Oregon. He served in the Navy as a radioman on the USS Boise. He served as a lieutenant in the Eugene Police Department and was a founder of Westates Flagman Inc.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rolfe; three daughters, Bonnie Marineau and Tricia Raines, both of Eugene, and Terri Irwin of Australia; a sister, Lucille Childers of Eugene; and seven grandchildren.
