Tommy D. Tull Sr., 62, of Beecher City died at 11:03 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham. Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery, Beecher City, with military graveside rites. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the family. Mr. Tull was born Oct. 19, 1946, in Effingham, the son of Donald Dale and Evelyn M. (Case) Tull. He was a veteran, retiring after 22 years of honorable active duty with the U.S. Navy Seabees serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Tull was a member of Effingham Moose Lodge and Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his sons, Tommy D. (wife, Tammy) Tull Jr. of Beecher City, Harold Dale Tull of Effingham and Lonnie Tull of Beecher City; daughters, Bonnie (husband, Ron) Byrnes of Jewett and Brenda (husband, Alex) Vinot of Effingham; brother, Jim (wife, Barb) Tull of Effingham; sister, Judith (husband, Richard) Kriss of Chicago; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Don Tull.
