Sylvia Grace Thede, 83, of Sheboygan Falls died on Sunday morning, October 25, 2015 at the Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center following a brief illness.

Sylvia was born on September 5, 1932 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Doering) Goodavish. Sylvia graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1950. On October 21, 1950 she married Bernhardt H. Thede in Sheboygan. Sylvia was a devoted homemaker for her family.Sylvia was a faithful and active member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls where she was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary, Friends of St Paul, Bible Class, Funeral Committee, Lutheran Brotherhood and taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, gardening, flowers, reading, computers, crafts, time up north; but most of all she cherished the time she could spend with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Sylvia is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bernhardt "Bernie"; two daughters, Melody Meyer of Cumberland, and Patty Seiffert of Lynchburg, VA; two sons, Gary (Patricia) Thede of Sheboygan Falls and Tom (Linda) Thede of Colorado Springs, CO; ten grandchildren, Renee (David) Polley, Stephanie (Michael) Mahan, Ryan, Peter (Amanda), Timothy (friend Kelly) Haase, Jeremy and Jennifer Raml, Krystal Thede, Jason and Julianna Thede; nine great grandchildren, Drake and Erin Polley, Clementine and Eleanor Haase, Chloe and Landyn Haase, Oakley Weber, Skylar and Bailey Thede; two brothers, Frank (Helen) Goodavish of Eau Claire and Charles Goodavish of Green Bay; and one sister-in-law Frances Thede of Canada. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Rosemary (Roger) Horst; one brother, James (Dorothy) Goodavish; one sister-in-law Pat Goodavish; and one niece Carmen.

Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Cumberland.
