Hillsboro, OH - Carolyn Andrews, 61, received her wings on Thur., Oct. 15, 2015. She is on a new mission with God, reuniting her with family & friends she has not seen in a long time. Born in Norfolk Nov. 19, 1953, she lived most of her life in Chesapeake & Virginia Beach. She graduated in 1971 as part of the last graduating class of Crestwood High School and continued her education at ODU. She moved to Ohio in 2013, residing in Hillisboro, OH at the time of her death. As a young adult, she served as Deaconess and taught Sunday School at St. Mark R.Z.U.A. Church, Norfolk.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Martin & Rosa Andrews & a brother, Michael Andrews. She is survived by 2 daughters, Kimmalitta Brown, Norfolk & Tonya (Milton) Coleman, Harrisburg, NC; 1 sister, Lola (Eugene) Jones, Suffolk; 5 brothers, Martin (Diana) Andrews, Jr., Wilmington, OH; Wade Andrews, Hinesville, GA, Ronald (Nessa), Troy and Paul Andrews, Virginia Beach; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A going-home celebration for Carolyn will be held at St. Mark R.Z.U.A. Church, 1513 Colonial Ave., Norfolk on Sat., Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.
