Miriam R. Allen passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 3:30PM in Centerville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. The Reverend Eugene Barlow will officiate.
Mrs Allen was born in Jones County, GA to the late Clifford and Thelma Roberts. She was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church , Friday Night Girls Out Club, and previously a member of Eastern Star Chapter # 365. Mrs Allen enjoyed many years of volunteering for the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Howard Allen.
Survivors include her two sons Keith Allen (Edie) of Bonaire and Mike Allen (Kay) of Gainesville GA., sister, Angeline Bennett (Claude) of Jones County, GA., brother, R.E. (Rip) Roberts (Viola) of Jones County, GA., sister in law, Sarah Sutton and four grandchildren Bethany Spickard (Matt), Hillary Neff (Brian),Brittany George (Keith) and Zachary Allen and two great grandsons, Hayden and Knox Spickard. Special friends, Teresa and Brian Vick and other close neighbors.
In lieu of flowers the family requests dontations be made to Centerville United Methodist Church 600 N. Houston Lake Road, Centerville, GA 31028 or Donors choice.
Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
