Cynthia “Cyndy” Lynn Hopkins, 62, of Stevensville passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
A funeral service honoring Cynthia’s life will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Reverend Christopher Noffke officiating. Friends may meet with the family 5-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
Cyndy was born June 8, 1953 in St. Joseph, the daughter of the late Rodney T. and Donna D. (Mischke) Lombardo . On October 30, 1971, she married John Hopkins. She was a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph High School and a member of the Lutheran Church.
Cyndy is survived by her husband of 44 years, John; son - Jon Hopkins of Boulder, CO; grandchild - Cody Schadler of Stevensville; siblings: Karyl Lombardo of St. Petersburg, FL, Denise Lombardo of Louisville, KY, Jennifer (James Nicholas) Bischoff of Benton Harbor and Lisa (Michael) Chapman of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.
Cyndy was also preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Hopkins on July 19, 2000; and her brother Timothy Lombardo in 1994.
