He was born in Wheeler County, at Mobeeti, Texas, Jan. 2, 1888. For the past 25 years he has been employed as an automobile salesman.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Maggie Garner, one son, Harold E. Garner of Electra, two daughters, Mrs. Johnnie May Comeaux, of Dallas and Mrs. Pearl Eaton of Richmond, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Lily Boutwell of Electra and Mrs. Claudia Conder of Seymour, and five grand children.
Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Loyd Lester, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Pallbearers will be C. F. McSpadden, Welch Carter, Ed Hart, E. T. Wells and B. L. Stevenson all of Electra and Cecil Mathewson, of Nocona. Burial will be in the Electra cemetery under the direction of the James B. Totten Funeral Home._
