He was a pitcher in eight seasons (1963, 1965 to 1967, 1969 to 1972) for the Philadelphia Phillies, California Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Brewers and Cleveland Indians. His best year was in 1965 when he won a season high 14 games and posted a 2.93 ERA. He was a member of the 1969 pennant winning Orioles and the 1970 World Champion Orioles. In a career 171 games, Lopez won 31 and lost 40 with a 3.62 lifetime ERA.
