Howard L. Denman, 81, died at his rural Minburn farm home February 20, 1979.
Denman was born April 20, 1897 near Bouton, the son of Arthur and Mary Denman. He married Elsie Clouser August 17, 1939 in New Orleans, La. They lived in the Minburn area for all of Denman's life. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge.
Survivors include his wife Elsie; a son, Harold of Minburn; six daughters, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Walker of Des MOines, Helen Denman of Des Moines, Mrs. Rex (Gladys) Morrison of Winterset, Mrs. William (Carol) Randall of Grimes, Mrs. Phyllis Dumstorff of Bouton, and Mrs. Diana Bristol of Davenport, a brother, Martin Denman of Harrisburg, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Stage of Alhambra, Calif., Mrs. Alice McDaniel of Des Moines and Fern Denman of Salem, Ark.; and 12 grandchildre. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
