John Aiken, 73 years old, passed away at his home, 880 Lex street, on Monday October 23. His widow, Eliza J. Aiken, three daughters, two sons and 10 grandchildren, survive him. He was born in County Antrim, Ireland in 1826. He came to America in 1850 and has reside here ever since, engaging in the business of public contractor. The funeral services were held Oct. 26 and were conducted by Rev. William McCaughey, of West Hope Presbyterian Church. Interment was made at Mount Moriah Cemetery. Undertakers S. P. Frankenfields sons, 5300 Vine street.
