Joseph Randolph “Babe” Sheets, age 77 of Burke’s Garden, VA died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, VA. Born October 22, 1938 at Thompson Valley in Tazewell, VA, he was a son of the late Joe Francis and Lila Marie Cornwell Sheets. He retired after many years employment as a mill worker with the Tazewell Farm Bureau. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Uva Rose Hamilton Sheets; four brothers, Eugene T. Sheets, Ray Sheets, Eddie Sheets, and Beverly Sheets; niece, Sherry Brown; two stepsons, Jackie Crouse and Wayne Crouse.

He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Hancock of Pulaski, VA and Myrtle Leffel of Tazewell, VA; one brother, Harry Sheets and wife, Linda of Bluefield, VA; many loving nieces and nephews; and his special dog, Sunshine.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
