Jessica Ann Rose of Lumberton, N.J. passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Born in Mount Holly, N.J., she attended grade school at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Moorestown, N.J. She graduated with high honors from Holy Cross High School, Delran, N.J., where she was editor of the school newspaper and a member of the National Honor Society.
She graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Business Minor. While at Villanova University, she was honored at the Elisabeth Cady Stanton Research Conference for research on social media, mentored and tutored young women at Rhoades High School in Philadelphia, and was published in the Communication Quarterly for 'Face it: The Impact of Gender on Social Media Images.' She was active in the Public Relations Student Society. While at Villanova University, she interned at the Philadelphia Eagles, the Philadelphia 76ers, FanOne Marketing, and Comcast Spectacor.
After graduating from Villanova University, she went on to work for Rowan College at Burlington County as a University Communication Specialist and a Marketing and Enrollment Specialist. Her most recent employer was Georgian Court University, where she was a University Communications Specialist.
Jessica loved anything that related to the shore and you could always find her at Ortley Beach, N.J. or most recently Asbury Park, N.J. She loved to collect shells and sea glass, ride her bike in the mornings, and sit on the beach for hours talking with her friends and family.
She was the beloved daughter of James and Nancy (Walters) Rose; devoted sister of James Rose Jr.; loving granddaughter of Agyro and the late Michael Rose, and George and Shirley Walters; niece of Sherrie Walters and Athena Rose Cohen; 'summer daughter' of Barry and Illena Ingram; and companion of Joshua Hofitiezer.
Interment will be held privately on Friday, Nov. 20 at Jesus, Bread of Life Catholic Cemetery, 3055 Fostertown Road, Mount Laurel, N.J.
