Mrs. M. M. Sholar has a CSA widow's pension app on line in the GA Archives. She says she married Edwar Sholar in Alabama in Oct 1866. He enlisted in March 1862 in Abbeville, Alabama and served with Co. E of the 60th Alabama Regt. He was not with his unit at the surrender at Appamattox, VA as he had been captured in Farmsville, Jamestown, Va in April of 1865. He was released after the surrender and died in Grady County, GA on Oct 25, 1910.
