SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Doris Terrell, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Rush assisted by Dr. Step Martin. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
Doris was born in Lott, Texas on March 9, 1931 and passed away on January 21, 2013 in Natchitoches, LA. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired insurance office manager.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elizabeth Radle; her husband, Larry Edward Terrell, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Larry E. Terrell, Jr. and wife, Mary, Richard D. Terrell, Sr. and wife, Karen, Steven E. Terrell and wife, Phyllis, James W. Terrell and wife, Lori, Scott A. Terrell and wife, Janie; grandchildren, Joseph, Megan, Ryan, Ross, Dane, Laura, Robert, Lindsay, Courtney, Landon, David, Elizabeth, Caedon, Grayson, Michala, Juliana, Tyler and Brooke; great-grandchildren, William, Sydney, Sara Beth, Carson, Meredith, Camille, Elliot and Marin. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
