He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Boston, Mass., son of James H. and Iva M. Bennett Northup Sr. He married Elizabeth Wunder June 1, 1958. She died Sept. 13, 2002.
Surviving are his brother and wife, Jim and Diana Northup, Folsom, Calif.; sisters, Anne Pero, Florida, and Mary Pellegrino, Maine; nieces and nephews.
