Nina L. Beard, 93, of Loda died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 5:50 p.m. at Paxton Healthcare and Rehab.
Nina was born August 28, 1922 in Fort Blackmore, Scott County, Virginia, the daughter of Abraham Barry and Laura Belle Gillenwater Compton. Nina married David J. McConnell on December 17, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1982. She married Charles Beard on November 25, 1985. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bill McConnell and two daughters, June Moore and Judith Lennington.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Smith and Patricia Allen; one son, David D. McConnell; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
