Betty Lou Bryant Ingram - SAVANNAH - Betty Lou Bryant Ingram, 72, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Marvin and Annie Hardaway Bryant and a sister, Shirley Thompson. Betty was born and raised in Savannah and attended Jenkins High School. She worked for many years as a Collections Administrator for John S. James Shipping Co. Betty was a very active and involved member of Savannah Elks lodge # 183. Betty has one of the biggest hearts you would ever know. Always ready to lend a hand. She loved to go to garage sales on Saturday mornings looking for toys and clothes to give needy children during the Christmas holiday. To know Betty was to love her and her big heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Betty was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by a son, Jimmy Ingram; two daughters, Pam Anderson(Tim) and Cheryl Tootle (John); the childrens father, James R. Ingram, four grandsons, Derrick(Misty), Bryant(Kristina), Tyler(Lauren), Stephen; six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Hayven, Logan, Taytum, Lily, and Little Bryant, several nieces and nephews, and Granny Betty to all that knew her and loved her. Visitation: 4:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, October 25 at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Service: 11:00am Monday, October 26 in the funeral home chapel. Special members of the Savannah Elks lodge # 183 will conduct the service with burial to follow in Bonaventure Cemetery. Betty, may you rest in peace.
