Francis [sic] E. Nelson Hali'aalohanokekupuna Frazier, 101, of Kauai, passed away on October 19, 2015 at the Dullaga Care Home in Kapaa. She was born in Honolulu on July 6, 1914.

She was a Hawaiian language translator of real estate titles, deeds and numerous private translations. She worked at the Hawaii State Archives translating the Native Hawaiian Register. Her translated books are Kekauhaupio, Kamehameha's Warrior Aide, taken from Rev. Samuel Desha's newspaper articles, and The True Story of Kaluaikoolau. She faithfully donated to The Salvation Army through the Hawaii Community Foundation.

Committal will take place on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Homelani Memorial Park at 1 pm.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Nelson, mother, Ellen E. Todd Nelson, husband Harold Nelson, son, Douglas and two brothers, Richard Nelson II and Julian Nelson.

She is survived by daughter, Stephanie Frazier of Puhi, Kauai; former daughter-in law Diane (Stanley Araujo) Moore of Mountain View, HI; 3 granddaughters, 5 great grandchildren; 3 nephews, Richard "Dicky" (Esther) Nelson III of Kealakekua, HI; Bill Nelson of Sacramento, California, and Alan (Cindy) Nelson of Hawaii Kai, Oahu; and numerous cousins.
