Beverly “Bev” A. Fike, 85, of Lakeview Landing of Friendship Village, died Saturday, Oct. 24;
She was born May 7, 1930, in Minneapolis, daughter of Fritz and Esther Goodge Borries.
She married L. Neil Fike on June 26, 1948, in Minneapolis.
Bev graduated from Minneapolis North High School in 1948. She and her husband farmed their Century Farm in Orange Township. She had worked as a secretary for the Black Hawk County Republicans for four years; in the office at Edison Elementary and Hoover Intermediate for 10 years, and as a CNA for the Western Home Communities, retiring in 1999. She then worked for several years at the front desk for Friendship Village. She was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by: a brother, Charles Borries
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, preceded by burial in Orange Township Cemetery.
Memorials: may be directed to the church, Gideons International or Friendship Village Auxiliary.
