Ms. Simpkins, 49, of Lobelville, died Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A funeral service was held Wednesday, October 14, 2015, 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Young Funeral Home, with Ronnie Brewer officiating. Burial was in the Gola-Warren Cemetery. She was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the daughter of Jean DePriest Warren, who survives, and the late Donald Warren. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Cynthia Ann Warren and Debbie Kay Warren. Other survivors include a son, Nicolas Wayne Kidd of Linden; a daughter, Synthia Kay Simpkins of New Johnsonville; a brother, Wayne (Lisa) Warren of Lobelville; nieces, Becky (Mason) Jones, Brooklyn Warren, Brittany Warren, B.J. Warren, and Bree Warren; a great niece, Ryleigh Beth Jones; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
