Jesse D. Black, 88, passed away April 15, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude E. Black for 64 years. Loving father of Larry (Sue) Black; Marty (Linda) Black and Sharon (Bill) Ahrends; cherished grandfather of Kristen (Matt), Kyle (Danielle) and Kim. Fond Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, April 17 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue in Des Plaines. Jesse will lie in state on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1177 Howard Avenue, Des Plaines. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
