Laura Hobson Cooke, age 88 of Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord October 22, 2015. She was a daughter of the late Alfonzo and Nettie Ledford Hobson. She was a homemaker and a member of Roan Mountain Baptist Church. She was a resident of Mitchell House Assisted Living for two years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Tulsa Lee Cooke, brothers; Frank Hobson, and Wylie Hobson, sisters; May Hobson, Nellie Hobson, Dora Green, Pearle Hoilman, Belle Buchanan, Blanche Cain, and Bernice Cooke, and a grandson, Zachary Hernandez.
