Betty Jo Wilhite Bell-Cabrera, 74 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at her residence.

Betty was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 26th, 1941, step-daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson McCoy and daughter of Virginia McCoy. Betty was a retired seamstress with the Palm Beach Company of Somerset, and a lifetime member of the Freedom Worship Center of Somerset. Betty enjoyed flower gardening and watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats. She loved her Church family and enjoyed spending time with friends.

Betty was survived by her loving husband, Luis "Lou" Cabrera; two sons, Bruce Bell and Roger Bell; one daughter, Linda Huddleston; two brothers, Timothy (and Jenny) McCoy and Michael (and JoAnn) McCoy; two sisters, Phyllis (and Tom) Carey and Patricia Sanders; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

Betty was preceded in death by her step-father, Woodrow Wilson McCoy, who departed this life on April 6th, 1976; her mother, Virginia Higginbotham McCoy, who departed this life on March 11th, 1998; her first husband, Dallas "Dale" Bell, who departed this life on March 22nd, 1993; one brother, Richard A. McCoy, who departed this life on June 12th, 1969; and two sisters, Mary Leon McCoy, who departed this life on August 3rd, 1953 and Terry Lee McCoy, who departed this life on September 19th, 1967.

Visitations were held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Cathers and Bro. Aaron Hodge officiating.

Interment followed in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
