Barbara Gertrude Heflin Zeigler, age 68, died April 25, 1997 in Salt Lake City.

Born May 28, 1928 in Covina, CA to Robert Wesley Heflin and Marion Francise Bullard Heflin. She was privileged to have lived among the redwoods in Humbolt County, CA. Married Jack LeRoy Zeigler, February 12, 1950 in Chula Vista, CA. Marriage later solemnized in the Mesa Arizona Temple. After meeting on a Greyhound bus, the romance has continued for 48 years and will be eternal -- "ALWAYS". She served an LDS Mission at the LDS Employment Center at Welfare Square and held many church auxiliary positions. She was an avid gardener and was loved by all.

Survived by four daughters, Barbara Mae Dau, Magna; Jacqueline Louise Zeigler, Salt Lake; Elizabeth Roxanne Gillmore, Cedar Rapids, IA; and Joy Ellen Goss, Phoenix, AZ; one son, John Robert Ziegler, West Jordan; 16 grandchildren, eight grandsons and eight granddaughters; one great-greatson; one great-granddaughter; one who is waiting; two sisters and one brother. Preceded in death by parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Wed., April 30, 1997, 11 a.m. at the Meadow Ward, 1955 West 400 North. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and one hour prior to services at the ward. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
