DELECKI, GERALD Of Swartz Creek, age 71, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society . Visitation 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Gerry was born in Flint, Michigan on June 14, 1944, the son of the late Walter and Laura (Jaskiewicz) Delecki and was a resident of the Flint area all of his life. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Okinawa. He married Eileen Power on July 30, 1967 and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2008. He was an avid golfer and bowler, participating in leagues. Mr. Delecki was a partner at Lewis & Knopf and was C.F.O. at Tom Ryan Distributing. Surviving are three children, David, Beth (Tony) and Thomas; one grandson, Shawn; one brother, Walter (Nancy); one sister, Jacki (Howard) Uman; several nieces and nephews.
